Everyone faced and faces temptations, isn't that true.

So all we should actually appreciate it. As said in James 1:2-4
²Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, ³because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. ⁴Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

So temptations, are there to make a person stronger,
in Matthew 24:13¹³but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

So stand firm. and do not let temptations attack you. When you stand firm from your temptations, do not fall into it, as it is the way of the devil.
Joseph demostrated it, when he was faced with Potiphar's wife. But he ran away from temptations, he had faith. So all of us , must stand firm, and have FAITH IN GOD that He can lead you out of your temptations ;D

Would like to congratulate our Agapian members who have made it to the 2nd round of the Bible-logy(applause). For those who did not dun worry next year still have ^^ but still remember to read your bible as the bible study lessons we have, there will be a book of the bible that you would have to reach. let us reach there before anything else so that when we move on to a different bible study book we would be ahead in the bible. If you think that reading the bible once over is enough your wrong. As you read the more you'll learn. No one can truly understand the word of God except God Himself. Guys do pray daily and fellowship with God.

When we are in heaven, we will have peace with our Saviour.

When i read the bible in colossians 3:5, it tells me that we should not get tempted by our earthly needs. Instead we should repent and change the way we are to be walking together with Christ.
We should not lie to each other but put on a new self which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
colossian 3:11 "Herethere is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, babarian, scythian, slave or free but Christ is all and is in all" in the end we are all just children of the Lord.

We honour God's name when we call Him our Father
and live like His children

Psalms 90 tells us Moses's prayer.
Its about God. Telling us that before God created the Earth, He was there all along. From everlasting to everlasting You are God. God will always be our God forever and He will be the same today tomorrow and forever. God is the creator of time He can change it anyway He wants it.If 24 hours is too short, God would have made it 25 hours but God knows that 24 hours is what we needed.

Today's story is called Pay It Forward.
Do read John 13:3 - 15.
In John 13:14 Jesus Said "Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet."and in John 13:15 Jesus Said " I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." As washing the feet is an act of servanthood, Jesus is showing the diciples how much He love them and He wants them to pass on the love that He have given them.We should love one another and pass on kindness and love to others. Christ's example teached us that we should follow Him each day meeting one another's needs, though humble service be the way.

hey, all . Kenenth here , long time since last posted.

I was flipping through my daily bread book just now.
and i found out that I skipped a lot of daily bread. A lot of information lost.
but, just as I flipped.
I saw April 29th's, which is Drifting away.

From 29th April Daily bread.

It talks about people driffting away from God. which is what i think i am now.
It uses the example of Job, which i find it very applicable. It tells us that, even though Job has lost everything he had, he still had faith in God, he stilled prayed, and worshipped Him.

Its like.
God is the driver, he is buckled on the driver seat. Then, at the begining, you cling on right beside Him not letting go. But soon, you moved further and further away to the window seat.
GOD HAS NOT MOVED YET, IT WAS YOU WHO MOVED.

So, why must we keep on getting further away from Him. When we get further away from Him, it means that satan has victory over us. So, we must stand firm on God's promise and not be blinded by what satan has to give.

we do not just take it as a monthly thing .
we take it as a rememberance, a comforting reminder of Jesus, and the many things he did.
His sacrifices, His presence ..
as we take of the holy communion, we reflect on ourselves on our sins, by asking the holy spirit.
and repent and mean it .

Luke 22:19-20
19And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ''This is my body given for you; do this is remembrance of me''.
20In the same way, after the supper he took the cup saying, ''This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

We take the holy communion to remind us of His great sacrifice.
Jesus came down to Earth for one purpose, which is to die on the cross, to wash our sins away.
He died, was buried, and rose again.
And he is coming back to bring us home (:

Those who take their sin seriously remember Christ's cross gratefully.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

In this two verses , it talks about the narrow and the wide gate.
The wide gate is always the one that is easy, and a lot of people will walk through it, and will lead to HELL.
But the small gate is difficult, it is tempting, it is painful, you will have to sacrifice,
but the ending will be good. the fruits of your labour will be sweet.

So, no matter what troubles you go through,
TRUST THAT THE LORD WILL LEAD YOU AND GUIDE YOU ALONG THE WAY.

thunderstorm thoughts;

there may be obstacles that come into your life - bad memories, temptations,
but know that God is always there to care for you, and understand you.
Dont let our minds wonder off , with worries and fears,
but let us have faith and cast our problem to God.

The devil will make us think and wonder, is God really there, and why are all this happening.
but lets have faith in our spirit , and remeber that God is forever with us.
Just like Jesus was with his disciples in the storm. He calmed the storm and showed them, a powerful God whos loves and cares for them, and sends blessings to them through Jesus. ( read in matt 8:23-27)

Know that God is always with us, just like how he was with Jesus and his disciples.
He will calm the storm, and we will find rest in our souls through him.
Believe by faith, and seek God, that he is with us.
You may think the whole world doesnt understand what exactly youre feeling and going through, but our great God does, and he cares. (:

A music professor with a well-trained voice usually sang the major male solo parts in the choir of a large church. A young man named Bob with no training sometimes took a few shorter solos. As the choir director prepared for the Christmas cantata, she felt thatBob's voice and style made him a natural for the lead role. However, she didn't know how she could give him without offending the older man.
Her anxiety was unneccessary. The professor had the same thoughts as she did, and he told her that Bob should take part. He continued to sing faithfully in the chorus and was a sourceof much encouragement to Bob.
People who can set aside selfish ambition and genuinely seek the good of others have an attitude that pleases God. Do you remember how John the Batist reacted when the crowds left him and began following Jesus? He said, "He must increase, but I must decrease" (John 3:30).
What did John the Baptist and the music professor have in common? They were able to set aside "selfish ambition." They were happy to see others elevated above themselves when it was for the common good. Can the same be said about us? - Herb Vander Lugt

Amen to that verse. Today is suppose to be Joseph's turn, but he is unable to post, hence i will be helping him post.
I will talk about prayer today. Prayer is something that we ought to do DAILY.
Prayers make wonders. Prayers make miracles happen. Like in
Luke 1:13
But the angel said to him: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John.

You can see that Zechariah countinously prayed for a son , and the angel told him that his prayer was heard, and he was blessed with a son, isn't that so wonderful and powerful.

And there are two verses very important and meaningful to me ;D
Matthew 7:7
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

So no matter what you want, just keep believing in God, and keep on praying no matter what happens ;D

Read this book few weeks ago,

-Pulling down pride.
For whoever exalts himself will be humbled,
And whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
Matthew 23:12.

Pride is very subtle andcan manifest itself in strange ways.
No one can be exempted from the temptation of pride,
It is so rooted in ur fallen nature.
We have to always pray and ask God
To hide us behind the cross so that only Jesus can be seen high and lifted up. in the midst of us.
There is two kinds of pride.
-True pride.
4Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, 5for each one should carry his own load.
Galatians 6:4-5
This kind of pride is the God-given dignity and healthy pride that comes from self examination before God and not comparision with man.
Humility is not equal to humiliation but enhances the image of God in us.
Humility is demonstrated not in putting ourselves down but lifting others up.

-Sinful pride
God opposes the proud but give graces to the humble
James 4:6
The bible warn us, that when pride comes, then comes disgrace.
But with humility comes wisdom.
We cannot but God's blessing so why not we go humbly before God and ask it in Jesus name!
God honours those who honour Him
For in me i am nothing,
But in Christ i can do ALL things.

So let us humble ourselves before God

A statement I heard at an Easter service stays with me: "More has been gained in the resurrection of Jesus than lost? Can it be true?
Each day we experience the damage caused by sin entering our world. Greed, injustice, and cruelty all trace their origins back to Adam and Eve's decision to follow their own path rather than God's (Genesis 3). The legacy of their disobedience is passed down to every generation. Without God's intervention, we would be in a hopeless situation. But Jesus overpowered sin through His cross and conquered death through His resurrection.
The victory of Christ is celebrated in Romans 5, often called the "much more" chapter of the New Testament, where Paul contrasts the devastation caused by sin with the restoring power of God's grace. In every case, grace overpowers the consequences of sin. In a grand conclusion, Paul says: "Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (5:20-21).

as everyone now is in the building season and everyone is giving and sacrificing i believe ;D
haha, when you give and bless other people, it means that you still have the ability to bless other people.
when we give we will stand firm on God's promise in
Malachi 3:10
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

We all know that we should no test God, but God said in this verse that, TEST ME IN THIS, meaning that, God will definetly bless us in our giving.
So rest assure that when you give God abundantly, He will bless you more than you can expect.

1 Corinithians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

LOVE for enemies.

If anyone says,
"I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar.
For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
1 John 4:20

"If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?"
Matthew 5:46-47

This kind of love is extremely hard. loving our enemies goes against what our sinful nature desires us to do. It is far from effortless. Very often, when we stand at the brink of loving our enemies, our sinful nature cries out. We have to push through it. We have to resist the notion that something so difficult and so contrary to our natural desire could be called "love". It is, in fact the greatest kind of love. It is the kind of love that God demonstrated when He saved us while we were His enemies. (Romans 5:10)

This is the kind of love that Christ demands - not a feeling, but rather a spirit of service, selflessness and humility. It is the ability to give to others with no regard to what they can do to repay you, what they feel for you or what you feel for them.

Praise the Lord! Adam posting here as for today's words from the bible. Amen! Before we start, let's have the 'highlights' of the verse (2 Chronicles 20:15) as the start (alright?) :
15 He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.

(Read: 2 Chronicles 20:3-17)-(NIV)

3 Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah.

4 The people of Judah came together to seek help from the LORD; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him.

5 Then Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem at the temple of the LORD in the front of the new courtyard

6 and said: "O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.

7 O our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?

8 They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying,

9 'If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.'

17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.' "

After reading the verses in the bible,we'll now move on to the daily bread as the 'dessert' of the whole 'meal' (alright?) :

A wise Bible Teacher once said,"sooner or later God will bring self-sufficient people to the place where they have no resource but Him-no strength, no answer, nothing but Him. Without God's help,they're sunk."
He then told of a despairing man who confessed to his pastor, "My life is really in bad shape." "How bad?" the pastor inquired. Burying his head in his hands, he moaned, "I'll tell you how bad-all I've got left is God." The pastor's face lit up. "I'm happy to assure you that a person with nothing left but God has more than enough for great victory!"
In today's Bible reading, the people of Judah were also in trouble. They admitted their lack of power and wisdom to conquer their foes. All they had left was God! But King Jehoshaphat and the people saw this as reasons for hope, not despair. "Our eyes are upon You," they declared to God (2 Chronicles 20:12). And their hope was not disappointed as He fulfilled His promise: "The battle is not yours, but God's" (2 Chronicles 20:15).
Are you in a position where all self-sufficiency is gone? As you turn your eyes on the Lord and put your hope in Him, you have God's reassuring promise that you need nothing more. - Joanie Yoder

we can be sure He'll do his part too.
but still everythings starts with small,
we got to be faithful in small things before He can give us greater and bigger task.

whenever we share the gospel to anyone, we must be willing to also build a relationship with them.
We should not have the thought that we are done with our christian duty after just sharing the gospel .
From 1thessalonians, Paul not only shared the gospel, but gave himself to them.

In verse8 , he said, ''We were well please to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us, ''
share also, our friendship and time for others.

Find a hurt, and heal it .

Today topic is,
Do God Really Care ?!
Some may wonder, His so High and above, does he really care about me, this little being.
My answer by faith is YES, GOD DO CARE.
Our Best Example is in the Bible,
Where Jesus cried over His friend, Mary and Martha's brother (forgotten the name). when he died.
It showed us how much Jesus cared for His friend, and how much He love all of us.

So, we should all believe that God cares for us, and He knows our problems.
Believe that He will lead us out of the Problems, no matter.

A man with LEPROSY.
Mark 1:40-45 (NIV)

40 ; A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are willing, you can make me clean."
41 ; Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!"
42 ; Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
43 ; Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning:
44 ; "See that you don't tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them."
45 ; Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.

Problems and Failures which all of us face in our lives.
Remember there is always a way out for problems.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

No matter what may happen in our lives, always remember that we are all
WINNERS in Christ.

Yeah, and yesterday, I bet all of you had fun.
Although me and Nicholas were not in the inter-school team.
We all had fun ! (from this sentence, you can see that Kenneth is zi-highing !)
although interschool got 7th.
